on my breaks today

Posted on Nov 2nd, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann

I had 3 breaks today.
On the first break I went to Faith's so
I could  see Mr. Grimsby.
I LOVE Mr. Grimsby.
He has grown a lot in just 3 days!
On the second break I went to Goodwill and
bought some long underwear and a salad spinner.
I LOVE long underwear.
Just thought you might want to know that.
On my third break I went to King Soopers and
bought some veggies.
I LOVE veggies.
You probably knew that.
In between all my breaks I played piano
for some wonderful singers.

Singalong_25_002

I woke up this morning from a wonderful
dream about a mountain lion.
It was a very loving mountain lion.
Mountain lion wants me to tell
you my blog readers this:
Love yourself as you are.
Embrace the scary parts of yourself.
Accept yourself and enjoy the changes.
Roar the truth of yourself powerfully.
You are LOVE.
You are BEAUTY.
You are MAGNIFICENT.

The Magic Flute

Posted on Nov 5th, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann

We had our first rehearsal  for The Magic Flute tonight.
I decided not to be in the orchestra this time but I will
just be rehearsal accompanist.
Being in the orchestra would have involved a few Sunday
rehearsals and that's when we have our singalongs.
So for this opera I will enjoy playing for the rehearsals and
then watching the performance  in the audience
instead of listening from the pit, wondering
what was going on up there onstage.

Someone bought this today from my kangaroo store.

Faith said she has had Kangaroo Song
stuck in her head for a few days.
Is it time to take a giant leap forward?
Do something we've never done before?

new moon circle group

Posted on Nov 8th, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann

About 2 1/2 years ago I started a yahoo group
called Western Wood Pewees just because I love
those birds so much and wanted to have a place
to post photos and info about them.
My friend Josie saw the group and joined it.
And we decided to make the group a healing circle
and invite others to join us.
So we did that and it has been a wonderful group
over the past couple of years, filled with love.
Just this week we decided to transform the group
into a new moon circle group and invite others
to join us.
So here is our group.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/westernwoodpewees/

If you would like to join us, please do.

Happy New Moon

Posted on Nov 9th, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann
It was eleven years ago today that
Steve and I had our first date.
So that makes it a special day.
And on my way into town
I saw  a golden eagle.
That makes it a special day too.
And we have a new computer.
That makes it a special day too.
Wow, today is really a special day.
I'm sure tomorrow will be too.

Today was a wonderful day!
We have our new computer up and
running and WOW, it's so fast.
And tonight I played for Juliana's Italian
recital for all her voice students.
It was sooooo much fun.
Everyone brought Italian food
and the singers were all AWESOME.

just another mandala day

Posted on Nov 13th, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann

The difference in this mandala and all the
other paintings I have done on the computer
in the last 8 years, is that instead of painting
the big circle free-hand (which takes a long time)
I simple used the little circle tool.
Wow, that is so much faster!
I'm having fun painting a mandala every night.
Maybe I will just keep doing this
and see how they evolve.
Something else I did different is
put my signature on the top.
:)

deer

Posted on Nov 16th, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann
11-16-7
Instead of writing this again I am just going to copy
and paste the email I sent to our New Moon Circle Group today.
I came inside and wrote this email as soon as it happened.

Dear Josie and All,
I just got my tea and journal to go out
by the waterfall and write.
As I was going out the door,
I said to Steve have you seen that
big buck that's been hanging around?
When I walked out the door I heard
a gunshot and some of the deer ran
into the woods.
Then I heard another gunshot.
And then I saw the big buck limping
across the field toward our house.
Then it collapsed.
I ran back inside and told Steve
that someone had shot the buck.
Then I went out in my driveway
and yelled WHO DID THAT?!
My neighbor came walking up and said he did.
I said WHY?
He said to eat.
I got hysterical.
I went up to the buck and cried
and cried and told him I was so sorry.
The buck was still alive.
Please surround him with your love and light.
This is not acceptable.
More later.
Love, Zoe

Deer Song

O the gentle Deer
brings her gift of love
and she melts all
our fears away
The peace and calm
that she brings to us
goes deep in our hearts
to stay
And she tells us we
must be like her
Gentle and warm and kind
And love all our fellows
And love ourselves
And leave all our fears
behind
O the gentle Deer
brings her gift of love
and she melts all
our fears away
The peace and calm
that she brings to us
goes deep in our
hearts to stay
Goes deep in our
hearts to stay

peacock in the hot mustard

Posted on Nov 17th, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann
11-17-7
We had lunch at the Wonderful Dragon today and there was
a perfect image of a peacock in the hot mustard
mixed with sweet and sour sauce.
That was very cool.

And then we went hiking at Bobcat Ridge
on a trail called Eden Valley Spur.
Towards the end of that trail there is a small
canyon and we went off the trail and went
up that canyon a ways and found the
most magical spot.
It was a little pool with rock walls on both sides
and the only sound you could hear was the
soft gentle fall of underground stream into the pool.
On the way back we found a honey bee tree.
So we have named that trail the Honey Bee Trail
and we can't wait to go back again and
spend more time in the magic spot.

Peacock Song

Beautiful Peacock
You have the eyes
To see with great wisdom
What before us lies
When we see
your irridescent feathers
We know live goes on forever
Beautiful Peacock
Teach us to honor
each moment as holy
And Peacock
Teach us to laugh
Laugh laugh laugh laugh!

I saw an incredible meteor tonight at 5:55
as I was walking to my car from Juliana's house.
It was HUGE and was right above my head
traveling from east to west and
then it disappeared.
Well, maybe it was a UFO.
I don't know what it was
but it was awesome!

Today is my sister Jeanie's birthday.
So I did a 3-way call with both my sisters.
We sisters are now 68, 61 and 57.
Add that up and you get 186.
And I can't think of anything
significant about that number.
But I am very thankful
for my sisters.

Posted on Nov 23rd, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann
Wow, this morning Steve and I were sitting in the kitchen
and four trumpeter swans flew by our window!
I  LOVE trumpeter swans!
I have only seen one and that was at the zoo last summer.
And this was the first time I have ever seen them flying!
WOW.
I feel so blessed.

Swan Song

Swan your grace and beauty
Blesses us today
Teach us to surrender
To the Beauty Way
Lead us to the dreamtime
Teach us how to flow
Change us heal us guide us

November Turtle Path

Posted on Nov 30th, 2007 by Zoe Ann : Turtlesong Zoe Ann

Newness Of Vision
Evolves Magnificently
Beyond Earthly Realms

See the world from a
new view...look through angel eyes
Everything is LOVE

Divine love is who
we are..always have been and
forever will be

The magic of life
is flowing us along from
glory to glory

In our spiral of
creativity we love
the present moment

Sacred owl sings her
message in the night...OPEN
to WISDOM of LOVE

Blessings of nowness
expand within us and we
listen with new ears

Breathing keeps us in
the flow and river takes us
where we choose to go

New moon beautiful
energies of peacefulness
surround us in love

Golden eagle sits
on a post beside the road
Let the magic flow

Breathe the perfection
of all that is in the peace
of this now moment

Red crossbills sit in
elm tree...we see radiant
love and light in all

Twenty deer listen
to sacred animal songs
by the waterfall

Gratitude breathes us
Each now moment is filled with
magic of being

Expand consciousness
Divine love beingness knows
no limitations

Spirit of gentle
deer lives in peacefulness of
our heart forever

Breathe forgiveness and
gratitude loving self and
others as one light

Peacock...LAUGH...honor
each moment as holy...life
goes on forever

Cricket comes out of
her hole bringing good cheers and
then she disappears

Meteor journeys
radiantly across the
sky then disappears

Breathe love and let all
that comes to us transform us
We are new again

Thankful Happy And
New Keep Shining Glowing In
Vibrance In Now Gold

Four trumpeter swans
fly over snowy fields on
their way to the lake

Full moon radiates
her perfect light in peaceful
hearts present here now

Love breathes us and we
are totally present in
the magic of now

Trust the spiralling
love and expansion in your
expression of self

See what comes around
again totally transformed
in new consciousness

The being of love
who we are is happy in
simply being love

We are thankful for
ourselves as we are in the
flow of all that is

Wrap your arms around
everything that is and thank
it for being you
